Tamara McLean (American) is an interdisciplinary artist. Her studio practice in graphic and interactive design is best known for large-scale environmental design installations connecting people with places to create an informed contemporary dialogue about the past and present. 

McLean is a recipient of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design Master of Arts Graphic and Web Design Merit Scholarship, Ernie Moll Scholarship, a contributing member of the team awarded IIDA Showroom and Large Booth Design Award at NeoCon, AAF American Advertising Award Judge's Choice Award, and multiple AAF American Advertising Award Golds and Silvers. She has exhibited regionally and nationally, including presentations at Evolving Graphic Design Symposium, Southeastern College Arts Conference: Watershed, and Society of Experiential Graphic Design. An active AIA, AIGA, ATypI, CAA, SECAC, and SEGD member.

McLean's most recent work, writing a curriculum course proposal, was granted funding by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Education, Art Department. "Augmented Reality (AR) for the Graphic Design Classroom," research was presented and published at the Society of Experiential Graphic Design Academic Summit in 2023. 

Tamara McLean obtained a Master of Arts from Minneapolis College of Art and Design and is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Building on her installation work, McLean creates experiences that inform and entertain in galleries, museums, public spaces, and commercial interiors.
